SpaceX
SpaceX, or Space Exploration Technologies Corp., is an American aerospace manufacturer and space transport services company founded in 2002 by Elon Musk. The company's primary goal is to reduce space transportation costs in order to enable the colonization of Mars and make space travel accessible to a broader audience. SpaceX is known for developing the Falcon 1, Falcon 9, and Falcon Heavy rockets, as well as the Dragon spacecraft, which delivers cargo to the International Space Station (ISS). The company has significantly advanced reusable rocket technology with its Falcon 9 rocket, which can land vertically after delivering payloads to orbit, thus lowering the cost of access to space. SpaceX is also working on the Starship vehicle, designed for missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. The company has made history with several achievements, including the first privately-funded spacecraft to reach orbit and the first private company to send astronauts to the ISS.
