James Webb Telescope

The James Webb Telescope, officially known as the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), is a large, space-based observatory designed to observe celestial objects in the infrared spectrum. Launched on December 25, 2021, it is the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope and aims to explore a wide range of astronomical phenomena, including the formation of stars and galaxies, the study of exoplanets, and the early universe following the Big Bang. With its advanced technology, including a large segmented mirror and a suite of scientific instruments, the JWST is capable of capturing detailed images and spectra of distant objects, significantly improving our understanding of the cosmos.
